Master Your Skills – Area and Perimeter 1

Master your skills courses are tutor-supported interactive sessions. The pupil has the flexibility to repeat the topics multiple times. It empowers the pupil to build a solid foundation and progress further in maths without the constraints of completing a topic within a given timeframe of a school term.

For this Course…

 There are 8 tutor led group lessons, delivered online. One per week. Estimated time the pupil need to practise the skills independently is 4 to 6 hours per week. End of the course pass mark is 80%.
 The master your skills – area and perimeter 1 course helps pupils learn the difference between physical space and the surrounding boundary. It is an essential concept to learn as it has many wide-ranging practical applications at a personal or business level. It lays the foundation for understanding other aspects of geometry, such as volume and mathematical theorems that help us understand algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. This course is ideal for students who need to learn about the basics of the area and perimeter of quadrilaterals and triangles.This course is especially suitable for pupils studying towards achieving grades 3 and 4 in Maths GCSE.Key Stage 3: years 7, 8 and 9.
