Learn key facts and develop problem-solving strategies. Understand that a percentage is a number or ratio expressed as a fraction of 100. The pupils get to explore ‘one whole’ divided into 100 equal parts and use the sign %.

Pupils explore the use of percentages in business accounts and finance. Calculate sales discounts, interest rates, profits and of course, tax. Mentally calculate the percentage of an amount from a test or any other given quantities.
