Pupils learn to:
- Tell the time using words in intervals of quarter past, quarter to, half an hour, in multiples of 10, 5 and 1 minute.
- Tell the time in words, using language such as 'o'clock', 'half past' and 'quarter to'.
- Find the correct time on an analogue or digital clock. Levels include: subtracting 1 hour, multiples of 5, or 10 minutes or subtracting multiples of a quarter of an hour.
- Answer word problems using a calendar.
Pupils learn to:
- Count area and perimeter using squares.
- Calculate the area and perimeter of quadrilaterals.
- Calculate the area and perimeter of triangles.
- Calculate the area and perimeter of compound shapes.
- Recognise coordinate points in all quadrants.
- Translate and reflect shapes.
Pupils learn to:
- Recognise the place value of digits to million and beyond.
- Compare numbers on a number line.
- Round numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000.
- Partition numbers.
- Count forwards and backwards with a given number.
- Recognise odd and even numbers.

This test checks the pupil's ability to:
- Count numbers at least up to 1000.
- Add and subtract numbers up to 20.
There are 15 questions in total.
To register for the place value and arithmetic operations courses - the pupil should score at least twelve correct answers.
Pre-requisite test for - Fractions & DecimalsÂ
This test checks the pupil's ability to
- Recognise place values at least up to 1000.
- Add and subtract two-digit numbers.
- Recall 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables and the corresponding division facts.
There are 15 questions in total.
To register for the fractions and decimals courses - the pupil should score at least twelve correct answers.
Pre-requisite test for - PercentagesÂ
This test checks the pupil's ability to:
- Recognise place values at least up to 1000.
- Arithmetic operations.
- Perform fractions and decimals calculations.
There are ten questions in total.
To register for the percentages courses - the pupil should score at least eight correct answers.
Pre-requisite test for - 2D & 3D Shapes and Geometry
This test checks the pupil's ability to:
- Recognise place values at least up to 10,000.
- Arithmetic operations.
There are fifteen questions in total.
To register for the shapes and geometry courses - the pupil should score at least twelve correct answers.
Pre-requisite test for - Telling the Time
This test checks the pupil's ability to:
- Recognise place values at least up to 10,000.
- Arithmetic operations.
There are ten questions in total.
To register for the telling the time course - the pupil should score at least eight correct answers.
Pre-requisite test for - MeasurementsÂ
This test checks the pupil's ability to:
- Recognise place values at least up to 10,000.
- Arithmetic operations.
- Perform fractions and decimals calculations.
There are twenty questions in total.
To register for the measurement course - the pupil should score at least fifteen correct answers.
These courses are also beneficial for pupils studying to achieve grades 3, 4, and 5 of Maths GCSE.
